Medical disclaimer

Read this before relying on anything published on this website or provided as part of the programme.

1. In an emergency

Confidra is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including chest pain, breathlessness, loss of consciousness, confusion, a severe low or high blood sugar episode, or any symptom that frightens you — call 108 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department. Do not wait for a reply on any Confidra channel, and do not use a check-in message to report an emergency.

2. This website is not medical advice

The content on this website is general information about a structured wellness programme. It is not medical advice, does not create a doctor–patient relationship, and must not be used to diagnose or manage any condition. A doctor–patient relationship is formed only in a consultation with a registered medical practitioner.

3. Who holds clinical authority

Every diagnosis, prescription and protocol decision within the programme sits with Confidra’s registered Medical Director and the NMC-registered specialist team, under the NMC Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. Confidra’s role is operational, technological and care-coordination — never clinical.

4. What your Programme Guide does and does not do

Your Programme Guide is a named, non-clinical member of the care team. Guides support accountability, habits, logistics and scheduling. Guides do not advise on medication, dosage or timing, do not interpret symptoms, tests or laboratory results, and do not offer any diagnosis or treatment opinion. Anything clinical is escalated to your physician under a physician-approved protocol.

5. What your clinical pharmacist does

A registered pharmacist reviews your medication list and explains what your medicines do and how they interact, under the authority of your treating physician. The pharmacist does not prescribe and does not change your treatment.

6. No claims about results

Confidra does not claim to cure, treat, or reverse any medical condition. We publish no success rates, no patient testimonials and no before-and-after material. Individual results vary, and no result is promised or implied by anything on this site or in the programme.

7. Continue your existing care

Confidra runs alongside your existing care. Do not stop, start or change any prescribed medicine on the basis of this website. Only a treating registered medical practitioner may make that decision.

8. Limits of telehealth

Consultations are telehealth-first under the NMC Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. Remote consultation has limits: some situations require physical examination, in-person investigation or hospital care. Your physician will tell you when that is the case and will arrange or advise in-person review accordingly.

9. Laboratory work

Laboratory tests are conducted by partner laboratories. Results are interpreted by your physician in the context of your history and your plan. A result on its own is not a diagnosis. Additional panels are never run by default and are ordered only where your treating physician judges them clinically appropriate for you.

10. Eligibility

The programme is for adults aged 18 and over managing diabetes. Acceptance is ultimately a clinical decision. If the Day 0 physician advises that the programme is not appropriate for you, you receive a full refund under our refund policy.
