A structured programme built so the clinical authority stays entirely with you.
Confidra is a physician-led, telehealth-first 90-day programme for adults managing diabetes, operating in Bengaluru. This page sets out the model, the role separation, and how an engagement actually works — so you can judge it on the terms that matter to a practising clinician.
Role separation
Every diagnosis, prescription and protocol decision sits with the registered Medical Director and the NMC-registered specialist team, under the NMC Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020. Confidra’s role is operational, technological and care-coordination — never clinical.
What Confidra is, in clinical terms.
01
A defined 90-day pathway
A Day 0 consultation, scheduled tele-reviews, and a Day 90 review with repeat lab work. Adults managing diabetes of any type; co-existing conditions are not an exclusion.
02
Telehealth-first, not telehealth-only
Consultations run under NMC TPG 2020. In-person review is arranged wherever you judge it clinically indicated.
03
Runs alongside existing care
Confidra does not displace a patient’s treating physician. Continuum members receive an annual summary letter written for their own family doctor.
04
Investigations on indication only
Additional panels are never run by default. They are ordered only where the treating physician judges them clinically appropriate for the individual patient.
05
Documented escalation
A physician-approved escalation protocol governs what the non-clinical team may handle and what must reach you. Confidra is not an acute or emergency service.
06
Records and data
Clinical records are maintained to applicable retention norms. Patient data is handled under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, on Confidra-approved systems.
You see clinical signal, not noise.
Each patient has a named, non-clinical Programme Guide who handles adherence, habits and logistics between reviews — daily check-ins six days a week and a weekly call.
What a Guide does
- Daily check-ins and a weekly call across the full 90 days.
- Habit, logistics and appointment coordination.
- Collects day-to-day readings so patterns are visible at your review.
- Escalates to you under a physician-approved protocol.
What a Guide never does
- Advise on medication, dosage or timing.
- Interpret symptoms, tests or lab results.
- Offer any diagnosis or treatment opinion.
- Make any claim about clinical results.
A registered clinical pharmacist conducts medication review and patient education under your authority, and raises anything requiring a prescribing decision to you. The pharmacist does not prescribe.
How an engagement is structured.
01
Fixed consulting fees
Remuneration is a fixed fee per clinical service personally rendered, agreed in advance and payable regardless of what any patient pays for the programme.
02
Never a share of patient fees
No percentage, commission, brokerage or referral payment linked to patient fees — structured expressly to stay clear of fee-splitting under the applicable professional-conduct regulations.
03
Your practice is preserved
Existing private practice, hospital affiliations, OPD, teaching, research and conference commitments continue unaffected.
04
Time that scales with the panel
Engagements begin at a defined weekly commitment, reviewed in good faith as the active patient base grows.
05
You approve your own listing
Your name, registration number and credentials appear on Confidra surfaces only after you have approved the exact copy in writing, and are removed on request if you step away.
06
Advertising discipline
Confidra does not publish claims about results, patient testimonials, ratings or before-and-after material, and does not name prescription medicines in public communications.
